This 3-class workshop teaches 4 pottery techniques, and students will fire and glaze their pieces. It is a beginner friendly class. Ages 12 and up.

The students will be shown how to hand-build pottery with slabs using four different methods. They will be introduced to hump holds, slump holds, wooden form, and pressed forms. They will then choice to make pieces from a hump mold, wooden mold or a pressed form. During the week their pieces will be fired to bisque.
The next week they will return to glaze there pottery with a choice of a number of colours, which they could choice to use the glazes either separately or in combination.
DAY 1: demonstrations of hand-building pottery, and possibly each student make one small dish. All students to attend.
DAY 2: Each student would make 2-4 items using some of the methods demonstrated the day before. Groups would be divided in half days for both the 13th and the 19th.
DAY 3: Work would be glazed on the 19th, fired on the 20th and available for pickup after Monday May 21st.
