Rosemary McLean

Glass & Leather

Rosemary McLean came to Nova Scotia early in the new millenium. In the long Cape Breton winters, she makes creative scenes out of bits of coloured glass and scraps of leather. Many of the scenes reflect island life, someone roasting marshmallows on the beach, clothes on the line, boats, hikers, kite flyers and more! No two are ever the same and all the materials applied to the frame are recycled from nearby leather and glass studios.
